Mr. C.K. Narotham

Mr. C.K. Narotham, Chairman of Prakash Roadlines Private Limited, is an alumnus of B.M.S. College of Engineering and brings over seven decades of experience across diverse industries. His professional journey has spanned the leather industry, construction, software, and other business ventures, giving him a broad understanding of business and enterprise.

At PRL, Mr. Narotham continues to provide strategic direction and guidance, drawing on his extensive experience and long association with the business. His entrepreneurial interests have also extended to large-scale construction and other ventures, reflecting a continued commitment to building and developing businesses across sectors.

Away from work, Mr. Narotham is an avid tennis enthusiast and continues to enjoy playing doubles, bringing the same energy and competitive spirit to the court.

MR. BHARAT NARANG

Mr. Bharat Narang is a second-generation entrepreneur and Director of Prakash Roadlines Private Limited, carrying forward the business founded by his father, Late Mr. Om Prakash Narang, after whom the company is named.

Mr. Narang joined the family business at the age of 17, prematurely bringing his formal education to a close to take on the responsibilities of the enterprise. Over the years, his entrepreneurial drive and vision have seen him expand and transform the family's businesses across sectors.

As Vice-Chairman of S.M. Kannappa Automobiles (P) Ltd. (SMK), Mr. Narang has played a pivotal role in its evolution from a single bus-bodybuilding facility producing approximately 100 buses annually to a four-plant operation with more than 25,000 buses delivered to date and an annual installed capacity of over 7,000 buses. He was also instrumental in establishing SMK's partnership with Volvo in India, further strengthening its presence on the national stage.

An avid reader with a fondness for ghazals and music from an earlier era, Mr. Narang brings an intellectually curious and distinctive personality to his professional pursuits. Known for his quick wit and fondness for literature, he is as comfortable quoting a celebrated writer or poet as he is articulating an idea of his own.

Mr. Vaibhav Narang

Mr. Vaibhav Narang is a third-generation entrepreneur and Director of Prakash Roadlines Private Limited, and the grandson of its founder, the late Mr. Om Prakash Narang. Actively involved in the day-to-day management of PRL, he has played a key role in the Company's renewed focus on growth and its return to the market.

Mr. Narang completed his undergraduate studies in Economics and holds a degree from the University of Minnesota. Alongside his responsibilities at PRL, he is also a Director at S.M. Kannappa Automobiles (P) Ltd., where he works alongside his father, Mr. Bharat Narang, in taking forward his vision for the business.

With an eye on the evolving mobility landscape, Mr. Narang has also founded EMC2 Mobility (P) Ltd., an electric bus bodybuilding venture. Having already secured its first order, the company is on track to deliver more than 150 EV buses before the end of the current financial year.

An avid Formula 1 fan and enthusiastic traveller, Mr. Narang also has a keen passion for cooking, with a particular flair for Indian cuisine. His diverse interests reflect the curiosity, energy, and forward-looking outlook he brings to his professional pursuits.

Mr. K.N. Umesh

Mr. K.N. Umesh brings over four decades of experience in India's road transportation and logistics industry to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Prakash Roadlines Private Limited (PRL). A Commerce graduate from Acharya Tulsi National College of Commerce, Shivamogga, he began his career as an accountant with VRL Logistics during its early years and went on to become its Executive Director.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Umesh was closely involved in building and expanding VRL's operations - from developing its manpower and branch network to managing freight operations and fleet-related functions as the organisation grew from a regional operator into a pan-India transportation company. His experience also spans financial controls, accounting systems, technology-enabled operations, and business development, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the operational and commercial foundations of a large logistics enterprise.

At PRL, Mr. Umesh brings this breadth of experience to the Company's next phase of growth, with a particular focus on strengthening operations, building robust systems, and developing the organisation on sound foundations. His approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the industry and a belief in building businesses patiently, systematically, and for the long term.

Coming from a family of agriculturists, Mr. Umesh is part of the first generation in his family to move beyond agriculture into the corporate world. His professional life has been defined by a singular passion for the logistics industry and by the satisfaction of building businesses from the ground up. Having travelled extensively across India during his career, he brings a practical, first-hand understanding of the country's diverse markets, customers, and logistics landscape.

Mr. Raghavendra Mahajankatti

Mr. Raghavendra Mahajankatti brings over 45 years of experience across India's transport and logistics ecosystem to his role as Vice-President of Prakash Roadlines Private Limited (PRL). At PRL, he is closely involved in strengthening operations and building the systems, processes, and partnerships that support the Company's renewed operations and next phase of growth. His responsibilities span fleet and vendor coordination, transport documentation and compliance, operational planning, and the development of a robust nationwide freight network.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Mahajankatti has held all-India responsibilities with Sundaram Finance Ltd and Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd., in commercial vehicle financing, and with Apollo Tyres Ltd, in tyre sales for the transport sector. He subsequently spent 15 years with VRL Logistics Ltd, one of India's leading pan-India goods transportation companies, where he operated as an exclusive franchisee, handling pan-India bookings and the entire Ahmedabad delivery operation, while also supporting transhipment activities and vehicle management. This experience gave him extensive, hands-on exposure to the booking, handling, and movement of different categories of cargo, as well as to working with corporate customers across sectors.

An entrepreneur in his own right, Mr. Mahajankatti went on to build his own transport operations, including a fleet of 500 trucks supporting logistics requirements for many of India's large Corporate Houses. His career across vehicle financing, tyres, franchise operations, fleet management, and freight movement has given him a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of India's transport and logistics industry.

A graduate of KLE J.G. College of Commerce, Hubballi, Mr. Mahajankatti has also travelled extensively across several countries, bringing a broad perspective and valuable global exposure to his professional approach.

For Mr. Mahajankatti, logistics has been more than a career - it has been a lifelong pursuit. With decades spent building transport businesses, networks, and operations, he brings to PRL a deep understanding of the industry and a personal commitment to building the Company for the long term.
